How do I participate in modeling?
So I moved to New York a few weeks ago to study fashion design at FIT, and I'm kind of thinking to do modeling on the side. Nothing serious, just to make extra money and perhaps meet people in the fashion industry. Since I want to be a cartoonist, modeling can be a good way to get my foot in the door, so to speak. I mean, I'm not exactly in Abercrombie and Fitch, but I think I look good to get some work. The problem is that I have no idea where to start. I mean, being in New York, the possibilities are endless, but I do not know how to participate. How can I find models on the side? I mean, I do not want to exaggerate, since I'm primarily a designer, but I would give modeling a try. So what should I do? Thank you!
